The Family (Final Day of the DPP)
A merry Christmas.

Ninja Sister
Don’t mess with my pecan pie.

The Flag on Central Campus
Today I took a walk over to the library to return some books. The cold front was just sweeping through and the clouds charged overhead from west to east bring clear skies behind them on this warm winters day. It was beautiful to walk across campus with the barren trees and huge empty quads. I love the spindly emptiness of the bare trees in contrast to their lush sway through most of the year. It was a real treat.

A Celebration of Celebration
On Sunday we finished reading The Celebration of Discipline with Ben, James, Jeannie, Scott and Steve. In celebration we had another big breakfast at the C’s from. What’s missing from the photo is Jeannie’s German buchteln which was as fun to pronounce as it was to eat.

Laughter

You know you work with geeks when . . .
This week I got an email from someone who had the following signature
“There are only 10 kinds of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who don’t.”
It took me a second but it made me smile all week.
One of Charity’s Least Favorite Sights
I think everyone has particular weaknesses when it comes to mess: shoes around the house, dirty dishes in the sink. One of mine is keeping my shoes straight and out of sight. Thankfully our bedroom is arranged so that the only person who trips over my pile sticking out the end of the bed is me!

Bathroom Window
I think the silhouette of the dogwood branches on our new blinds has a slightly Japanese feel to it.

Our Neighbors
This is taken from the front of our yard looking down the row.
If you’ve seen Charity’s post, you might notice the deflated snowman lying in the center of the yard!
