The Spares Play North Street

leave a comment »

Last week we hosted our first house concertThe Spares lead guitarist (far left) is an old friend of mine from Chicago.  It was pretty durn cool.  I loved the harmonies and the ballads.  I don’t often get to lose myself in a live show.  I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed it.

I’ve also really enjoyed listening to their worship album on the way to work this week.

Catch them if you can!

Blue Berries

with 3 comments

Saturday morning we went out to the blueberry farm and picked 12.5 pounds of blueberries in about an hour.  You just can’t beat $2/lb for fresh blueberries . . . and that’s not even counting the ones you sample at in the bushes!  So so good.

The Bluest Shroom I Ever Saw

with 2 comments

I was picking up broken glass from the repairs done to the house and found a couple of these.  The color of the gills was amazing.  I don’t think I ever seen something in nature that blue except the sky and the sea.
