The Spares Play North Street

Last week we hosted our first house concertThe Spares lead guitarist (far left) is an old friend of mine from Chicago.  It was pretty durn cool.  I loved the harmonies and the ballads.  I don’t often get to lose myself in a live show.  I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed it.

I’ve also really enjoyed listening to their worship album on the way to work this week.

Blue Berries

Saturday morning we went out to the blueberry farm and picked 12.5 pounds of blueberries in about an hour.  You just can’t beat $2/lb for fresh blueberries . . . and that’s not even counting the ones you sample at in the bushes!  So so good.

The Bluest Shroom I Ever Saw

I was picking up broken glass from the repairs done to the house and found a couple of these.  The color of the gills was amazing.  I don’t think I ever seen something in nature that blue except the sky and the sea.
